This course provides the skills and knowledge for individuals to safely perform foundation digital literacy tasks using a personal computer and a range of software applications and digital devices. If all competencies are demonstrated, then the learner is able to gain the Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology.

This is the current course for Certificate II in Business. This course is to be renewed and re-developed to address user feedback and requests. The Version 2 of the course will be released in late January 2020.

This qualification is designed for individuals who require further foundation skills development to prepare for workforce entry or vocational training pathways.

It is suitable for individuals who require:

  • a pathway to employment or vocational training
  • reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 3
  • entry level digital literacy and employability skills
  • a vocational training and employment plan.

Successful awarding of the Certificate also provides a student with the literacy and numeracy requirements for the Queensland certificate of Education (QCE). The Certificate also contributes 4 points to the QCE's attainment.
